In the November 2021 Election, the Marijuana Sales Tax issue passed in Saguache County, which made all retail marijuana dispensaries pay an additional 5% marijuana sales tax to Saguache County. The marijuana sales tax that is collected the prior month is due on the 20th of every month unless the 20th falls on a weekend or holiday, then it will be due on the next business day. For example, the Marijuana Sales tax that is collected in the month of January, is due on February 20th, and so on. If you are a retail marijuana dispensary business owner and need the marijuana sales tax forms, you must contact the Land Use Department and they can get you on their email list so they can send it to you every month.
