Information on fire restrictions can change rapidly. The most current information can and should be obtained directly from the county Sheriff's Office or land management agency.
Saguache County Sheriff's Office
As of June 28, 2022, unincorporated Saguache County has NO Fire Restrictions.
Remember:
- All agricultural burning MUST be reported to the Saguache County Sheriff's Office before ignition.
- No burning is permitted on Red Flag days.
Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
- BLM's San Luis Valley Field Office; no fire restrictions (updated March 21, 2023).
- BLM's Royal Gorge Field Office; no fire restrictions (updated April 27, 2023).
Great Sand Dunes National Park
Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests
Pike and San Isabel National Forests Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands
