Fire Restrictions

Information on fire restrictions can change rapidly.  The most current information can and should be obtained directly from the county Sheriff's Office or land management agency.

Fire Ban for Baca Grande Subdivision

No burning in residential areas due to extreme danger. This includes all fire pits, campfires, charcoal grills and all Firewise and Title III grant funding recipients' mitigation debris piles. All mitigation material must be taken to the Baca Grande burn pit - no burning is allowed in residential areas.This ban does not include barbeque grills using liquid or gas fuels controlled by a valve. These temporary restrictions will remain in effect until the Fire Marshall lifts the ban.

Remember:

  • All agricultural burning MUST be reported to the Saguache County Sheriff's Office before ignition.
  • No burning is permitted on Red Flag days.

This map does not provide information on federal fire restrictions within lands managed by the USFS, BLM or NPS.  It is limited to Colorado county jurisdictions.
