NOTICE is hereby given that a proposed 2023 budget amendment will be submitted to the Saguache County Housing Authority Board for the ensuing year of 2023; a copy of such proposed budget amendment will be filed with the Saguache County Clerk and Recorder and the Saguache County website, where the same is open for public inspection. 

The original Saguache County Housing Authority budget with an income of $12,504 and expenses of $12,504 shall be amended to reflect the actual Saguache County Housing Authority income of $41,799 and expenditures of $17,182.

The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to be held in the County Commissioners Room, 501 4^th Street, Saguache, CO on May 7^th, 2024 at 3PM.  

Any interested elector of Saguache County may inspect the proposed amended budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the amendment which will take place on Tuesday, May 7^th, 2024 at 3PM. 

  SCHA 2023 Budget Amendment

The Saguache County Board of County Commissioners are accepting scholarship applications for graduating seniors who will be graduating high school in 2024. Commissioners will be awarding graduating seniors’ college scholarships that will be paid through the Marijuana Excise Tax funds. Scholarships may be used at a trade school, college, or university but you must reside in Saguache County to apply and possibly receive scholarship funds. 

Applications are due by Wednesday, May 1, 2024 and are available through our website at www.saguachecounty.colorado.gov to download the application or by contacting Wendi Maez at 719-655-2231 or by email at wmaez@saguachecounty-co.gov.

Greetings Saguache County Veterans and Veteran Families. The SCVSO announce the following: 

Due to conversion to Digital and Electronic Record keeping the SCVSO will be purging the SCVSO Veteran Records.

As of this date the SCVSO is offering to SC Veterans and Families, upon request to provide these Service Records to families.

To request these records, contact the Saguache County Veterans Service Office at (719) 588-8465 and/or mbondurant@saguachecounty-co.gov.

Greetings Saguache County Resident and Veterans. The Saguache County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) announces Coffee with your County Commissioner.

Once a month the Commissioners will be available to meet and greet and speak to residents about issues in the county.  The SCVSO will be available to meet Veterans and/or Veteran families to address Veteran concerns.
